Heavy Traffic Expected at Turnpike's Mid-County Interchange
PennDOT work continues on I-476 south of toll plaza Sunday – Friday.
KING OF PRUSSIA, PA (02/27/2010)(readMedia)-- The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling southbound on the Northeastern Extension (I-476) to be prepared for slow moving or stopped traffic when exiting the Mid-County (Exit #20) Interchange to continue south on I-476. Nighttime lane closures will be in effect Sunday (Feb. 28) through Friday (March 5) from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning as crews continue preparations for the start of PennDOT's southbound reconstruction project between the Mid-County and I-76 Interchange.
In addition to lane closures, motorists traveling I-476 may encounter brief stoppages between 12:01 a.m. and 6 a.m. and shifting traffic patterns between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. All work is weather permitting and subject to change.
