ALBANY, NY (11/15/2007)(readMedia)-- Dan Enea of Herkimer and Vincent Iocovozzi of Frankfort have been appointed to serve on the Family Assistance Commission (FAC) organized by the New York State Funeral Directors Association (NYSFDA) to respond to disasters occurring in New York State. As FAC members, Enea and Iocovozzi will interview survivors and process paperwork to assist in identifying and facilitating the release of remains to the next of kin. They were chosen to serve on this commission due to their extensive experience as funeral directors in New York State.

As a senior funeral director, Enea oversees operations in seven family-owned and operated funeral homes in and around Little Falls. A licensed funeral director for 7 years, he worked for Kenyon International, an organization serving the needs of the Hurricane Katrina victims.

Vincent Iocovozzi of the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi and Burns Funeral Home in Herkimer, has been a licensed funeral director for 27 years. He has been a mortuary officer with DMORT since 1994.

FAC will operate under the auspices of the New York State Tribute Foundation, which is the charitable arm of NYSFDA. The NYS Tribute Foundation is a non-profit foundation dedicated to supporting education, outreach and research programs that advance the public's understanding of end-of-life issues.
