High-Profile Experts to Speak at Global Supply Chain Management Conference
PLATTSBURGH, NY (04/26/2010)(readMedia)-- The U.S. ambassador to Canada will be one of many internationally recognized experts presenting at the Global Supply Chain Management Conference June 15-17 at SUNY Plattsburgh.
Ambassador David C. Jacobson joins Congressman Bill Owens; Timothy Skud, deputy assistant secretary for the U.S. Department of the Treasury; Mike Flaherty, consul and senior trade commissioner for the Government of Canada; and Arthur Brohinsky, director of Lean Six Sigma, KKR Capstone and former executive vice president of SmartOps. These experts and others will present on such topics as current issues in regulation and compliance; financing the global supply chain; ways to be green and pro?table; strategies and best practices in cross-border trade; dealing with supply chain threats and intrusions; challenges posed by exchange rate risks; supply chain management in recessionary times; and more.
In what is becoming an annual event, the conference will expose leaders to current trends, analyses and state-of-the-art solutions designed to benefit their enterprises. It brings together internationally recognized speakers to discuss significant supply chain issues related with cross-border compliance and regulatory issues, risk management in the supply chain, and green supply chains and corridors.
Several high profile companies and organizations in Canada and the United States will be represented in this three-day event, including the Canadian, Quebec and U.S. governments; A.N. Deringer; FedEx Trade Networks; Robert Transport; the Canadian/American Border Trade Alliance; the Supply Chain Logistics Association of Canada; Supply Chain Optimizers; and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, among others.
