Historic Achievement for Hartwick Volleyball's Braelyn Hornick

Senior setter, Braelyn Hornick of Candor, NY, becomes the first player in Hartwick College Volleyball history to be named to an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region First Team. The AVCA placed 203 student-athletes across ten regions on their All-Region Teams. Hornick was one of 14 First Team selections in Region 3.

After having to take a year off due to injury, Hornick returned to the Hawks lineup, to orchestrate an offense that averaged 12.5 kills per set. The Empire 8 First Team honoree posted 858 assists and averaged 10.21 assists per set across 84 sets played. She also surpassed the 2,000 career assists mark on November 9. Hornick is no stranger to AVCA recognition, having earned All-Region Honorable Mention Honors in 2022 to go along with a National Player of the Week Honor that same season.
