Hofstra Nursing Students Honored with Certificate of Recognition for Fostering Equity and Leadership
The Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing presented the IDEALS Awards at a ceremony today that included student, administration, faculty, and community partner award recipients. IDEALS (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Leadership, Access, and Success) is a program funded by a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant that addresses the social determinants of education to increase the diversity of the nursing workforce. It consists of several initiatives, including a mentorship program, pipeline program, poverty simulation, student success programs, and faculty development. Student receipients were recognized for their efforts in helping uphold the principles of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access, Leadership, and Success in the Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing.
