Background: Mark your calendars for two festive events at Genesee Community College.

Community members are invited to shop at the Holiday Bazaar on Thursday, December 4, 2014 and enjoy Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 6, 2014.

The Holiday Bazaar features a number of local merchants selling a wide range of items that would make perfect gifts. Vendors will be set up in the William W. Stuart Forum on the GCC Batavia campus from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 4. Stop in, support student groups including New Age Circle, WGCC and Western Art History as well as local businesses Apto Art, David DiSalvo, Let's B Creative, Linda Kay Beaumont, and Spiotta's Books & Vinyl. You'll be able to cross some items off your shopping list!

On Saturday, December 6, a holiday tradition continues as GCC's Student Advisory Board and Campus Activities Board invite all children to enjoy Breakfast with Santa in the GCC Cafeteria and Student Union. Breakfast is served from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. with the Jolly Old Elf arriving at 10 a.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 6-12, those 5 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at the Student Activities Office in room S115 located in the Wolcott J. Humphrey III Student Union on the GCC Batavia campus. All children will receive a gift bag and a free photo with Santa.

While on campus December 6th, visitors are invited to learn more about the College and the many degree programs and learning options it offers during an Open House from 9 a.m.- noon. Assistance will be available with applications and financial aid. Those interested in attending an Open House are asked to register online at http://www.genesee.edu/offices/admissions/visit/.
