ELIZABETHTOWN, PA (03/02/2011)(readMedia)-- Sam Davis, of The Davis Group based in Richmond, Virginia, will present an interactive seminar for family business leaders at Elizabethtown College on Thursday, March 17, 2011, entitled "Your Values and Your Bottom Line." This session will provide family businesses with a practical approach for pushing their values down to the shop floor while becoming a tool for higher productivity, improved customer service, and eventually, increased profits.

The seminar is the fourth in the annual breakfast series offered by the S. Dale High Center for Family Business at Elizabethtown College for member businesses and for guest family businesses who have not yet attended a sample session.

"Easily discussed but difficult to implement, Davis's process for driving values into the business is clear and impactful," explained Mike McGrann, executive director of the S. Dale High Center.

Davis will present several case studies from companies of different sizes across a range of industries including Ukrop's Supermarkets, an $800 million grocery store chain with a culture so strong that it helped them surmount more than one major business challenge.

Davis has more than 25 years of strategic management experience to the service of family enterprises and philanthropic organizations. Sam was raised in a third generation family business and has served as a trusted consultant to family businesses, family offices, and family foundations for almost 15 years.

The seminar series is for family- and closely-held businesses only and will be held from 8:15 to 11 a.m. in the Susquehanna Room of Myer Hall at Elizabethtown College, with complimentary breakfast immediately preceding the seminar. Registration is required by March 11. Call 717-361-1275 to RSVP or contact the Center at fbc@etown.edu.
