Howell's Adam Holka named Midwest Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week

AURORA, IL (04/22/2014)(readMedia)-- Aurora University senior goalkeeper Adam Holka (Howell, Mich./Hartland H.S.) was named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference (MLC) Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending April 20, 2014.

Holka led AU to a 2-0 week with wins over Defiance College (27-0) and Hanover College (29-5), and the Spartans extended their current win streak to 11 games. Holka allowed two goals in the two wins, posting a 1.98 goals against average with four saves while facing 11 shots.

Next action for the Spartan men's lacrosse team, 11-3 overall and 8-0 in the MLC, comes on Wednesday, April 23 when they host Benedictine University. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. on Vago Field. AU senior day events will take place at halftime.
