Hugee Earns Academic All-MAC Honors

Alvernia University Football senior Anthony Hugee earned Academic All-MAC honors for his performance on the field and in the classroom, as announced by the Middle Atlantic Conference.

The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote for the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success. A student-athlete must have a fall semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher to be eligible for the award.

Hugee, a senior double-majoring in economics and finance, joins 21 other football student-athletes across the MAC to earn Academic All-MAC honors.

Hugee played all ten games for Alvernia during the 2025 season. Hugee, a linebacker, finished the year with 56 total tackles and seven tackles for a loss. He finished the season with 36 solo tackles and posted another 20 assisted tackles. Both his 56 total tackles and seven tackles for a loss ranked him second on Alvernia's defense. He also finished the season with two pass break-ups and he recorded a fumble recovery against Lebanon Valley.

This is Hugee's first Academic All-MAC honor. He is also just the fifth Alvernia Football player all-time to earn Academic All-MAC honors. He joins Owen Morton (2022), Neeko Scurlock (2022), Zach Ayers (2024), and Delva Jean Baptiste (2024). The full 2025 Football Academic All-MAC team is below.
