CANTON, NY (04/14/2014)(readMedia)-- Jordan Hunneyman (Redwood, NY) of the baseball team and Becca Kieffer (Lee Center, NY) of the women's lacrosse team have been named this week's Roos of the Week.

Hunneyman had a big weekend for the Roos as he set the all-time hit record in program history while also breaking the 100 career hit plateau. The senior had five hits (5-for-10) in two games while scoring two runs and driving in 2 RBIs. The Redwood, NY native passed Tom Darling to move into first place on the hit list with a solo shot to left field in the first inning against D'Youville on Saturday. He now has 103 hits in his remarkable career with the Roos.

The baseball team is back in action today when they visit Cazenovia College for a 3:30 p.m. contest.

Kieffer had a big weekend between the pipes leading the women's lacrosse team to a 3-0 week and extending their program best win streak to five games. The freshman netminder stopped 29 shots on the week averaging nearly 10 stops per outing and also picked up 10 ground balls.

The Lee Center, NY native opened the week with 12 saves as SUNY Canton defeated Clarkson 13-11 for the first time in program history. She backed that performance up with an eight-stop performance in a 20-5 win over Colby Sawyer College. In the final contest of the week she came up with nine timely saves including multiple point blank stops in the second half as the Roos defeated Elmira College, 14-13.

The women's lacrosse team will put its five game win streak on the line Wednesday when it hosts SUNY Institute of Technology at 5 p.m.
