Huntersville's Kalmon Stokes named NACC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, IL (04/24/2014)(readMedia)-- Aurora University sophomore Kalmon Stokes (Huntersville, N.C./Oswego East H.S.) was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Outdoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Week.

Stokes was part of a small group of Spartans that competed at the Concordia University Chicago Cougar Invitational last week. He excelled in both events he competed in, winning the 400-meter hurdles (54.48 seconds) and the long jump (6.70 meters) with his time in the hurdles being a school record.

Next action for the Spartan men's track and field team comes on Friday, April 25 when they travel to Benedictine University for the twilight meet. Meet time is set for 3:00 p.m. in Lisle, Ill.
