Huntington University Junior Soprano Breana Balliet to Present Voice Recital
HUNTINGTON, IN (02/15/2011)(readMedia)-- Huntington University's junior soprano Breana Balliet will present a vocal recital at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 25 in the Longaker Recital Hall in the lower level of the Merillat Centre for the Arts.
Breana Balliet is a junior theatre performance major and music minor from Kahoka, Mo. During her first year at Huntington University, Balliet competed at NATS, and she was a member of women's chorale and worship ensemble. She is currently a member of the concert choir. This is her third year studying voice with Joni Killian at HU. While attending Van Wert High School, she was a member of the choir and symphony band for four years. During her junior year at Van Wert, she qualified for the District III OMEA Honors Band. She qualified for the District III OMEA Honors Choir during her senior year. Balliet has participated in several Huntington University stage productions which include: "Scrooge the Musical," "Beauty and the Beast," "The Mikado" and "Picnic." She will also be in the upcoming production of "Guys and Dolls" this spring.
The event is free and open to the public.
