Huntington University Senior Contralto Kaitlin Tippin to Present Voice Recital
HUNTINGTON, IN (02/15/2011)(readMedia)-- Huntington University's senior contralto Kaitlin Tippin will present a vocal recital at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 25 in the Longaker Recital Hall in the lower level of the Merillat Centre for the Arts.
Kaitlin Tippin, from Bryan, Ohio, is a senior music business major. She has been involved in the women's chorale and concert choir at Huntington University. While spending Fall Semester of 2010 in Cheltenham, England, Tippin was a member of the choir at the University of Gloucestershire University. She was also in women's chorus, A Cappella choir, and show choir throughout high school. She has studied voice for eight years: four years with Melissa Baughman of Montpelier, Ohio, and four years with Joni Killian at Huntington University. While in high school Tippin was involved in seven musicals including "Fiddler on the Roof ," "Anything Goes," "Children of Eden," "Oklahoma," "Into the Woods," "Les Miserables" and "Beauty and the Beast."
The event is free and open to the public.
