Hymn Sing to take place as part of 500th Reformation Anniversary Celebration

SEWARD, NE (10/05/2017) To end a week full of Reformation celebrations, there will be a Hymn Sing Along at Bottle Rocket Brewing Company in Seward from 7-9 p.m., Friday, Oct. 13, 2017.

The entertainment will consist of polka music by the Firehouse Five and Andrew Schultz, assistant professor of music at Concordia University, Nebraska, and hymns by Martin Luther led by Paul Soulek, director of the 7th-grade and 8th-grade singers at St. John Lutheran School.

"I am looking forward to a fun event celebrating the 500th Reformation Anniversary Celebration and connecting with our Concordia family," said Jennifer Furr, director of alumni and university relations. "The Firehouse Five and Paul Soulek will be leading up in some toe tapping music and fun. Everyone is welcome to join us and party like it is 1517!"

The polka music will begin at 7 p.m., followed by the hymn sing along at 7:20 p.m. The night will conclude with about 30 additional minutes of polka music. The event is free and open to the public. For more information about Reformation 500 events, visit reformation.cune.edu.
