ICC Welcomes Dental Hygienist Program Students for Fall 2016

ICC is pleased to announce students in its Dental Hygienist Program for Fall 2016!

Students in the ICC Dental Hygienist Program complete 81.5 hours to earn an Associate in Applied Science degree. Students receive extensive clinical experience in the ICC Dental Hygiene Clinic and selected agencies. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination and a regional/state examination for registration as a Dental Hygienist in Illinois and in other states.

The dental hygienist works under the supervision of the dentist in dental offices and other health agencies by performing duties delegated by the dentist. Duties include cleaning teeth, exposing x-rays, providing oral healthcare instructions to patients, and maintaining patient records.
