Illinois National Guard Headquarters to conduct exercise with Springfield emergency responders

SPRINGFIELD, IL (04/21/2015)(readMedia)-- WHO:

• The Illinois National Guard

• Springfield Police Department

• Springfield Fire Department

• Sangamon County Sherriff's Office

• Sangamon County Office of Emergency Management

• Illinois Emergency Management Agency

• Other state and federal offices

WHAT:

• An all hazards emergency exercise with local first responders

• The exercise is designed to enhance cooperation between agencies during a variety of emergency scenarios

WHEN:

• April 23, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

WHERE:

• Camp Lincoln, 1301 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Springfield, Ill.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

• Neighbors of Camp Lincoln can expect notification announcements on public address systems.

• Police and fire departments will be on the Camp Lincoln.

• Traffic on post will be limited to official business only during the exercise.
