Iowa City Residents Think Outside the Box in State Fair Food Contest

DES MOINES, IA (08/24/2011)(readMedia)-- Connor Burr of Iowa City placed first in the Think Outside the Lunch Box contest judged Saturday at the 2011 Iowa State Fair.

Lucas Burr, also of Iowa City, took second in the competition.

Entrants were asked to create a healthy lunch for school or work and present it in a suitable container. Entries were judged on healthiness, creativity and presentation.

The Iowa State Fair Food Department is the largest of any state fair in the country. Food Department judging is held in the Elwell Family Food Center sponsored by Blue Bunny.
