Iowa Jersey Farms Win Top Titles in Iowa State Fair Dairy Show

DES MOINES, IA (08/27/2018) (readMedia)-- Dairies competed for top honors in the Jersey Dairy Cattle show judged Friday at the 2018 Iowa State Fair.

The Grand Champion Female was shown by Rick Demmer, Peosta. Steinridge Jerseys, Lawler exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion Female. Arthuracres, Oelwein, received Honorable Mention.

Schulte Bros. of Blairstown earned Champion Premier Exhibitor and Champion Premier Breeder. Steinridge Jerseys placed 2nd Exhibitor and Groves Jerseys was 2nd Premier Breeder, respectively.

The Premier Breeder Award is given to the competitor who earns the most points for animals bred and exhibited by the entrant or others during the day's show. The Premier Exhibitor Award is given to the exhibitor who accumulates the most points based upon the day's placings.
