Iowa Ladies Put the Hammer Down at Iowa State Fair Contest

DES MOINES, IA (08/23/2017) (readMedia)-- Carey Lynam of Creston won first place in the Ladies Nail Driving contest judged Saturday at the 2017 Iowa State Fair.

Nicole Stevens of Afton claimed second place, and Vicki Morris of New Virginia nabbed third place.

There were 26 contestants vying for ribbons at this year's contest.

The contest was part of "Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions" in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. First prize was $5 and Ribbons were awarded in each class.
