Iowa State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition Implements Online Submission, Training, and Increased Prizes in 2016

DES MOINES, IA (05/04/2016)(readMedia)-- The Fine Arts Exhibition at the Iowa State Fair is one of the country's premier competitions, drawing exhibitors of all ages from all over Iowa. In 2016, we hope to grow and improve the show by implementing online initial submission, offering training workshops across the state and increasing prizes.

Any interested Iowan may submit their work to be juried, and if accepted, they will be eligible for the prizes offered in any one of thirteen media categories. The best of show award has been increased this year to $1000 and prizes in each adult media category amount to $150 each. Children from ages three through high school are juried independently of adult entrants. Young people from ages of 9 to 13 are eligible for trophies and youth from 14 through high school are eligible for prize money.

Details about the submission process can be found on the State Fair website http://www.iowastatefair.org/participate/competition/how-to-enter/#fine-art-photography and the digital entry must be submitted at https://iowastatefair.artcall.org by June 11, 2016.
