LA MIRADA, CA (04/30/2014)(readMedia)--  Women's basketball adds size in six-foot forward Taylor Casey. Casey joins Biola after two years at Irvine Valley College and a high school career at Capistrano Valley High School. She is coming off a season where she earned all-conference second team honors and averaged 10.8 points per game in the the Orange Empire Conference.

"Taylor [Casey] is an impact player at the forward position having played two years in a quality college program," said Head Coach Bethany Miller.

The Eagles look for her to be a leader on and off the court as Casey served as captain on her last team. She will hone her leadership skills in the classroom as she studies elementary education at Biola.

"She has strong work ethic, is extremely bright, and will be a scoring threat and disciplined defender on the court for us," said Miller. "We are excited to welcome her to Biola!"
