Ithaca College Students Create Digital Model of Irish Castle

Four Ithaca College students joined Physics Professor Michael "Bodhi" Rogers in County Meath, Ireland, to use a 3D scanner to create a digital model of Trim Castle, the largest Anglo-Norman castle in the country. The model will have a variety of uses, from virtual tours to preservation planning. Pieces of the model can also be tagged with information that could prove useful for future repairs to the site.
