It's Back! Barksdale's State Fair Chocolate Chip Cookie DOUGH

DES MOINES, IA (11/03/2021) (readMedia)-- For a limited time, Fair time favorite Barksdale's State Fair Chocolate Chip Cookies are back and ready to be baked at home. Just in time for the holidays, you can pre-order the same ooey, gooey chocolate chip cookies you love during the Fair. This limited edition cookie dough makes a great gift or you can bake them just in time for Santa.

Each cookie dough bag includes 36 pre-portioned frozen cookies for only $10.50. Cookies are the same size as found in buckets and cups during the Fair. Orders can be placed at www.iowastatefair.org until this limited time offer disappears at midnight on Sunday, November 28th.

Pre-ordered cookie dough will be available for drive-thru pick up on Friday, December 3rd between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. or Sunday, December 5th between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Enter through the University Avenue gate and follow the signs to pick up. No walk up orders will be available.

The Iowa State Fair is the single largest event in the state of Iowa and one of the oldest and largest agricultural and industrial expositions in the country. In 2019, the Joe Barksdale family gifted his famous warm chocolate chip cookie business to the people of Iowa through the Iowa State Fair. In 2020, the new Barksdale's State Fair Cookie Building was built to continue Joe's legacy. Since opening, the building has hosted small Taste of the Fair events, a very successful National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day and was open during the 2021 Iowa State Fair. Look for special cookie events throughout the year until the 2022 Iowa State Fair, August 11-21.
