Jacey Cullop, Sterling, Named Southwestern College Homecoming Queen Candidate

WINFIELD, KS (10/06/2011)(readMedia)-- Jacey Cullop, daughter of Jerry and Kelly Cullop, was named as a Southwestern College Homecoming queen candidate Oct. 3. Other candidates include: Katie Bipes, Topeka; Erin Buster, Wichita; Taylor Kinnamon, Copeland; and Kindell Copeland, Wichita.

Originally from Sterling, Cullop, a junior, came to Southwestern to study biology/pre-veterinary medicine. She also participates as both a cross country and track runner. This year she also worked at Builder Camp, the freshman orientation experience, as an orientation leader.

Cullop is a familiar face in the freshman girl's dorm where she acts as a resident assistant and in the science department where she works as a lab assistant. She is also proud of her 12-year membership and participation in 4-H.

The coronation will take place at halftime of the Southwestern vs. Ottawa football game Oct. 8. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m.

Southwestern College is a private institution granting undergraduate and graduate degrees and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. About 1,900 students attend classes at the main Winfield campus, at five professional studies sites in Kansas and Oklahoma, or online around the world.
