Jaime George receives award for Chancellor's Fellows poster presentation at S&T
ROLLA, MO (04/04/2013)(readMedia)-- Jaime George, a Ph.D. student in materials science and engineering from Hornell, N.Y., recently received second place for her submission to the third annual Chancellor's Fellows research poster presentation at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
George's research involves using micro-Raman spectroscopy to study dissolution of borate glasses used for bone and soft tissue repair.
An awards banquet was held on the Missouri S&T campus April 2. Twelve posters were displayed at the poster presentation on March 13.
Chancellor's Fellows are selected based on academic excellence and other competitive criteria.
