Jamestown resident Michael Marshall wins outstanding student achievement awards at Connecticut College
NEW LONDON, CT (05/16/2011)(readMedia)-- Michael Marshall, a senior at Connecticut College, was awarded the following awards:
• Harold D. Juli Memorial Award for Student Research, given to a student from any department for exemplary joint research with a faculty member in memory of Harold D. Juli, Professor of Anthropology
• David G. Fenton Physics-Astronomy Prize, for excellence in physics
Marshall was presented with the awards at the annual Honors and Awards ceremony at Connecticut College on April 27.
Marshall, a resident of Jamestown and a 2007 graduate of North Kingstown High School, is the son of Mary and Roger Marshall of Jamestown.
At the ceremony, Timo V. Ovaska, Hans and Ella McCollum '21 Vahlteich Professor of Chemistry, gave the keynote address. Dean of the College Community Armando Bengochea and Dean of the Faculty Roger Brooks also congratulated the students.
