SUMMERDALE, PA (11/08/2011)(readMedia)-- Congratulations to Student Government Association (SGA) President Jasmine Robinson for receiving the title of Student of the Month for November. Robinson is a second-year student, majoring in Central Penn's communications program. Arriving here in October 2010, her expected graduation date is set for May 2013 and she is well on her way.

"Jasmine Robinson is relentless," says Maria Thiaw, professor of communications at Central Penn. "She has a goal and she goes for it. She never waits for anyone's magic bullet, constantly tries and always asks questions. She's doing what she needs to earn her degree."

Robinson was nominated for November's Student of the Month by Professor Thiaw and has been a student in a number of Thiaw's classes, including Public Relations, Survey of Mass Communications, English Composition 1 and Contemporary Media Issues, to name a few.

Currently, the SGA president enjoys spending her time with family, playing basketball, recording music and playing the drums at her home church in New York. Her passion lies in her family, education and the field of broadcasting and communications. In the next five to ten years, Robinson believes she will be happily married, excelling in her television broadcasting career and maintaining a level of financial stability that will allow her to travel the world.

"There is something different about Jasmine," says Thiaw. "She embodies the concept of a 'You can. You will.' student. In her position in SGA, she has dealt with hot situations and handled them professionally, always coming out on top."

Robinson has just under two years left and she continually makes her mark here at Central Penn with her professional personality, goal-oriented demeanor and genuinely caring spirit.
