Jeff Heath awarded tenure and promotion at Centre College

DANVILLE, KY (04/22/2013)(readMedia)-- Jeff Heath, formerly of Paducah, was awarded tenure and promotion to associate professor of mathematics at Centre College in Danville.
Heath joined Centre's faculty in 2007 as assistant professor of mathematics. He was named a Centre Scholar in 2011. Heath graduated from Georgetown College with a B.S. in mathematics. He earned M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in applied mathematics and scientific computation at the University of Maryland, where he served as a teaching fellow in the mathematics department.
Heath is the son of Wells and Malissa Heath of Paducah, and is a graduate of Lone Oak High School.
Centre College, founded in 1819, is a nationally ranked liberal arts college in Danville, Ky. Centre hosted its second Vice Presidential Debate on 10.11.12, and remains the smallest college in the smallest town ever to host a general election debate.
