Jenna Broghamer receives communication award
PELLA, (06/11/2012)(readMedia)-- Iowa City native Jenna Broghamer, a senior at Central College, was awarded the Iowa Communication Association Recognition of Achievement in Speech Communication. She is a communication studies major at Central.
This year, the Iowa Communication Association recognized 11 college students who completed speech communication courses with a high level of accomplishment. Recipients from four-year colleges must complete at least 18 credits of coursework in communication and earn a GPA of at least 3.25 in those courses. In addition, the students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 overall.
Central College is a private, four-year, residential, liberal arts college in Pella, Iowa. Central's academic program offers 39 majors leading to a bachelor's degree along with pre-professional programs and advising. Central was recognized in the 2011 U.S. News & World Report's annual rankings of the best liberal arts colleges in the nation.
