Jessica Evans Honored at Western New England University College of Engineering

SPRINGFIELD, MA (06/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Jessica N. Evans of Londonderry, NH, received the James V. Masi Creative Excellence Award during Baccalaureate ceremonies at Western New England University. The award is given by the electrical and computer engineering faculty to the student judged to have shown both creativity and initiative in their senior project. Evans' senior project dealt with using artificial intelligence to detect melanoma.

Evans graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. She is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta, Sigma Beta Tau, and Tau Beta Pi honor societies as well as the Society of Women Engineers. A former intern at BAE Systems, Evans will join Hamilton Sundstrand after graduation.
