John N. McCarthy of Oakhurst, N.J. presents research at the Southeastern Undergraduate Sociology Symposium

HAMDEN, CT (03/01/2012)(readMedia)-- John N. McCarthy, of Oakhurst, N.J., a student at Quinnipiac University, presented his senior thesis research on the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy at the Southeastern Undergraduate Sociology Symposium at Emory University on Feb. 24-25. 

The symposium provided an opportunity for students to present their original research papers in a professional atmosphere. Preparing and presenting a paper enhances students' research and public speaking skills and provides opportunities to network with other young scholars and boost professionalization and pathways to graduate school, law school, public health and other careers paths.
