Johnson named G-MAC Player of the Week for third time

NASHVILLE, TN (10/10/2012)(readMedia)--  Kristen Johnson has been named the G-MAC Volleyball Athlete of the Week for the third time this season after her efforts in leading the Trojans to a 3-1 week, including conference wins over Ursuline and Central State.

Johnson, a 5-9 junior from Franklin, Tenn., totaled 38 kills, 52 assists, and 32 digs in the four matches. She now ranks fifth in hitting percentage, fourth in kills, fifth in assists, seventh in blocks, seventh in digs, and eleventh in total service aces.

The Trojans are now 14-9 and 4-2 in their last six, including all five of their conference games to this point of the season (3-2 in the G-MAC).

Trevecca Nazarene University is a Christian liberal arts university located in Nashville, Tenn., Music City, USA.
