Join our New Students for the Nazareth Orientation Day of Service, FRIDAY August 25
Students travel to 32 different service sites within the Rochester community
ROCHESTER, NY (08/24/2017) Nazareth College celebrates the arrival of its biggest incoming class ever with the annual Orientation Day of Service! At Nazareth College, orientation for new students includes a community service component. This Day of Service will be held on Friday, August 25, from 1:00 to 4:45p.m. Over 600 students (first year, transfer and international students) along with Orientation Leaders, faculty, and staff travel to one of 32 service sites within the community. Nazareth staff work in partnership with local community agencies to develop service activities that meet the needs of the organizations and the community members they serve. Trained Orientation Leaders provide preparation for the student groups and lead the service activities in conjunction with a representative from each service site. Upon returning to Naz, the Orientation Leaders facilitate a reflection of the day's events.
