NASHVILLE TN (04/24/2013)(readMedia)-- The American Lung Association's Middle TN Fight For Air Walk, presented by OPTUM Complex Population Management is fast approaching.
Now is the time to register a team or sign up as an individual for the May 18, 2013 non-competitive 5K Walk. There will be a shortened route available as well.
The Middle TN Fight for Air Walk will take place at Public Square Park in downtown Nashville. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., with the walk beginning at 10:00 a.m. Entertainment ends at 12:15 p.m.
Participants who join the Walk will have the opportunity to meet others in the community, visit a variety of educational booths, enjoy snacks all morning, a light lunch, and listen to live music, all while supporting a great cause. In addition, there will be a Kid's Zone, featuring fun activities for children of all ages. Early morning music will be provided bya DJ and the live concert following the walk will feature several rising stars from the Nashville music scene- Tamaray, Lindsey Bruce and Mary Grace.
Proceeds from the Middle TN Fight for Air Walk will go to lung health programs and services and much needed research. Members of the community are invited to register a team and/or themselves at www.middletnwalk.org.
