Dr. Jonathan Silver is new chair of the College of Saint Elizabeth business administration program.

MORRISTOWN, NJ (12/14/2012)(readMedia)-- Jonathan Silver of Mohnton, Pa., has been named associate professor and chair of the business administration and management program at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, N.J. Silver has experience in higher education as well as in marketing for private industry.

"I am thrilled to accept this new challenge," said Silver. "I look forward to using my years of experience in academia as well as private industry to expand the offerings and reach of the CSE business programs, stimulate collaborative teaching and research projects on campus, and develop opportunities to work with area businesses."

Currently, CSE has an undergraduate degree in business administration, a master of science in management with specializations in organization change or human resources, as well as various professional certifications.

Silver has taught business and social science courses at both Alvernia University and Albright College, both in Reading, Pa. He has also worked for General Public Utilities for 13 years, focusing on marketing, customer services and strategic planning as well as consulting for two Philadelphia-based firms in marketing research. He has also served as a staff member of the Bureau of Consumer Services in the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.

Silver holds a bachelor of science and master of science degree in psychology from Bucknell University, a master's in business administration from University of Pittsburgh and a doctorate in community development from The Pennsylvania State University.
