Joseph Fazio Honored at Western New England University College of Engineering

SPRINGFIELD, MA (06/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Joseph A. Fazio of Clifton, NJ, received two awards during Baccalaureate ceremonies at Western New England University. He was presented with the Department of Biomedical Engineering's Award for Outstanding Senior and the Biomedical Engineering Research Award.
During the awards ceremony, Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering Dr. Robert Gettens noted Fazio's exceptional scholarship, leadership, and organizational skills. "Evan at this early stage of his academic career he has made a number of important contributions and has received numerous awards for his work," said Gettens. Fazio was the recipient of an intramural research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health and has presented research at a national Biomedical Engineering Society conference on two occasions.
Fazio graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. He is a member of the Tau Beta Pi and Sigma Beta Tau engineering honor societies and was named to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
