Julian Partyka Honored at Western New England College School of Engineering

SPRINGFIELD, MA (06/15/2010)(readMedia)-- Julian R. Partyka of West Springfield received two awards – including the School of Engineering's top honor -- during Baccalaureate ceremonies at Western New England College. Partyka was presented the Mechanical Engineering Department's Award for Outstanding Senior and the School of Engineering's Dean's Award for Academic Excellence.
"Julian is an exceptional person and student who will use his talents to make outstanding contributions to the engineering profession," said S. Hossein Cheraghi, Dean of the Western New England College School of Engineering, while presenting the Dean's Award. The honor goes to the student with the top grade-point average in the School of Engineering. The Mechanical Engineering Award goes to the top student in the department.
Partyka graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He served as president of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, and is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Sigma Beta Tau honor societies. He has accepted a position with Pratt & Whitney as an engineer in their Turbine Module Center.
