KU Softball nets 11 NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes for 2025
The Kutztown University softball team had 11 representatives on the 2025 Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athlete list.
The Golden Bears who earned the status include Naya Darnowski (Manchester, N.J./Manchester Township), Taylor Gearhart (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North), Kristin Geesey (Bainbridge, Pa./Elizabethtown), Haley Gravish (Hamburg, Pa./Hamburg), Emily Henn (Matamoras, Pa./Delaware Valley), Grace Kindel (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic), Annabelle Knese (Havertown, Pa./Haverford), Allyson Koerner (Clayton, N.J./Clayton), Jenna Piatkiewicz (Fogelsville, Pa./Parkland), Morgan Slomkowski (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) and Alexa Stevens (Jefferson Township, Pa./North Pocono).
Kutztown recorded an overall team cumulative GPA of 3.404. The 11 student-athletes who were honored by the NFCA qualified for the award by earning at least a 3.50 GPA in the 2024-25 academic year.
These Maroon and Gold student-athletes did not just excel in the classroom last year, but also on the diamond, as they finished the 2025 campaign 43-19 overall, the most victories in a season since 2012. KU also advanced to NCAA Atlantic Super Regionals for the second straight season and third in the last four, and also qualified for NCAAs for the fifth consecutive year.
