LOCK HAVEN, PA (05/12/2011)(readMedia)-- Kelly Nicole Greenland, Lock Haven University alumna class of 2006 and 2007, recently accepted an offer to pursue her Ph.D. in Physics at the Graduate Center of City University of New York. This offer includes complete tuition remission, health insurance, and multi-year stipend.
Kelly has worked at notable locations including Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, GE Inspection Technology, and Indian Point Energy Center during their last nuclear refueling outage.
Kelly's 2006 degree from Lock Haven University is BS in physics summa cum laude with University Honors. Her minor was mathematics. Her 2007 degree from Lock Haven University is AAS in nanotechnology summa cum laude.
A resident of Pawling, N.Y., Kelly is the daughter of Jim and Helen Greenland, of Julian, Pa., grand-daughter of Jim and Loretta Greenland of Frenchville, Pa. and the late Ruth Baldwin of Milesburg, Pa.
