Kelsey Sullivan graduates from Denison University

GRANVILLE, OH (08/25/2011)(readMedia)-- Kelsey Sullivan, formerly of Hudson, was among the 481 graduates awarded diplomas at Denison University's 170th commencement held May 15, by Denison President Dale T. Knobel.

Kelsey Lamkin Sullivan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, with a major in sociology/anthropology. A consistent dean's list student, she is a member of Phi Society, the honorary recognizing excellence in the first year; Alpha Kappa Delta, the national sociology honorary; and Lambda Alpha, the national anthropology honorary. Sullivan was a recipient of the Founders Scholarship. She was named a senior fellow in the sociology/anthropology department. Sullivan studied abroad with the Migration & Identity Program in Denmark. Her senior research project was titled "Recidivism, Reentry, and Recycling: How the U.S. Sentences and Resentences Offenders." Sullivan was a member of Denison Democrats, Amnesty International and the Sociology/Anthropology Forum. She is a member of Delta Gamma sorority.

The commencement address, "The Best Kept Secret," was delivered by David H. Bayley '55, a Distinguished Professor at the School of Criminal Justice at State University of New York at Albany.

Denison University, located in Granville, Ohio, and founded in 1831, is an independent, residential liberal arts institution enrolling 2,100 full-time undergraduate students from all 50 states and dozens of foreign countries.
