Kerley named to All-PSAC East Second Team

For the first time in his college career, junior third baseman Jimmy Kerley (Indian Trail, N.C./Sun Valley) of the Kutztown University baseball team was named to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Second Team, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

The Indian Trail, N.C. native impressed at the plate in 2024, posting career-highs in almost every statistical category. Kerley led the Golden Bears in hits (55), RBI (38), home runs (7), slugging percentage (.480), and total bases (82). He sits around the top ten in the PSAC in hits, home runs, RBI, and total bases. The junior was a staple at third base for head coach Eric Folmar throughout the season, making impressive plays at the hot corner consistently.

Kerley had 15 multi-hit games in 2024, including a team-high five games with three hits. He led KU with the longest hitting streak of 14 games and reached a base streak of 16 games. Kerley also led the Golden Bears with nine multi-RBI games, including four games with three RBI.

Kerley is set to return for his senior season in 2025 and will be a leader for a youthful Golden Bears squad that will need to replace a large chunk of their lineup.
