Kevin Thomas Demko of Kulpmont Honored for Academic Excellence

SCRANTON, PA (06/14/2013)(readMedia)-- Kevin Thomas Demko of Kulpmont, a 2013 magna cum laude graduate of The University of Scranton, received The Military Science Leadership Award from the University at Commencement.
Demko majored in biology at the Jesuit university. He is a member of the Health Professions Organization (HPO), Alpha Epsilon Delta (the national honor society for health professionals) and Alpha Lambda Delta (the national honor society for first-year students).
Demko will be commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army through the University's Army ROTC program. He is both a Distinguished Military Student and Distinguished Military Graduate.
Demko will attend The University of Maryland's Dental School.
Demko is a graduate of Mt. Carmel Area Jr.-Sr. High School in Mt. Carmel.
