Kids Wow the Judges with Mom Calls

DES MOINES, IA (08/27/2024) (readMedia)-- Kids took the challenge in the Mom Calling Contest that took place on Friday, August 16, at the 2024 Iowa State Fair.

In the 5 to 9 age category, Abbott Fjelland of Ankeny took the first place spot. Lexie of Otley received second place, and Sawyer Koop of Kamrar claimed third place.

In the 10 to 15 age category, Grant Randleman of Norwalk took first place in the Mom Calling Contest. Brenna Lange of Des Moines took second place and Sadiya Seck of Des Moines took third place.

The contest was part of "Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions" in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. A first prize of $5 and ribbons were awarded to each class.
