WALESKA, GA (04/27/2011)(readMedia)-- Kinsey Galyon of Knoxville, Tenn., a graduating sport studies major in sport administration at Reinhardt University in Waleska, Ga., was recently selected as a 2011 National Undergraduate Scholar by the American Kinesiology Association (AKA).
The AKA is an organization of more than 120 kinesiology and sport-related academic departments housed in colleges and universities nationwide. This award honors a select number of students whose academic and leadership records are distinctive. Faculty nominations were limited to the top 1% of their departmental majors, and a national panel chose the award winners. Last year only 32 students earned this recognition. Kinsey graduated with a 4.0 GPA, a minor in Business, completed more than 750 hours of internship work at Southwinds Church in Calgary, Alberta, Cananda, and was a multiple selection All-Appalachian Conference basketball player.
