Kirsten Neal of Wood River, Ill., named Missouri Baptist University Athlete of the Week

ST. LOUIS, MO (11/06/2012)(readMedia)-- Missouri Baptist University recognized soccer forward Kirsten Neal as the Spartan Athlete of the Week after she finished the season with a total of seven goals, which tied for the team lead. Included in the total was a hat trick Neal scored in a matter of 2:00 minutes in a game against Harris-Stowe State the end of October.
Neal is a freshman from Wood River, Ill.., who is taking classes for the pre-nursing program at MBU.
MBU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and has received the distinction of being an NAIA Champions of Character institution for the past 10 years. The Spartans compete in the American Midwest Conference.
