SUMMERDALE, PA (12/18/2012)(readMedia)-- Graphics Specialist Kristi Castanzo, of Harrisburg, Pa., and an '87 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School, was awarded the Above and Beyond Staff Excellence Award at Central Penn College's recent Years of Service and Recognition event.

"Kristi continually goes the extra mile with respect to all of the projects she designs and the deadlines she juggles," says Marketing Services Director Mary Wetzel. "She looks at every project that comes across her desk as an opportunity to create a quality piece that more than fills the needs of the requester."

The honor is awarded to a Central Penn staff member who demonstrates the college's brand promise through work ethic and one or more of the following actions:

promotes a work environment that is collegial and supportive,

positively influences others through their actions,

consistently goes above and beyond without fanfare,

takes initiative to solve problems and improve work situations without being prompted, and

demonstrates reliability and perseverance, and focuses on results.
