LG Delgado Praises Phoenix House After Visit: Our Administration Will Always Support This "Lifesaving Work"

NEW YORK, NY (04/24/2024) (readMedia)-- On Tuesday, the Lieutenant Governor of New York visited Phoenix House of New York and Long Island to learn about the lifesaving work Phoenix House staffers do for those with substance use disorder. Overdose deaths continue to rise to record numbers in New York. According to data from New York's Office of Addiction Services and Supports in 2022, one New Yorker died every two hours from an opioid- related overdose.

The folks at Phoenix House are doing admirable work providing lifesaving care to those in recovery and our administration will always support our community partners in this battle," said New York State Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado.
