Lac du Flambeau resident Katelyn Goll wins outstanding student achievement awards at Connecticut College
NEW LONDON, CT (05/16/2011)(readMedia)-- Katelyn Goll, a senior at Connecticut College, was awarded the following awards:
• Lavinnia Hull Smith '23 Prize, for excellence in music a bequest from the estate of Lavinnia Smith
• Connor Donohue '07 Memorial Award, given to a music student whose dedication to community learning and whose character continue the commitment exemplified by the late Connor Donohue '07 established by friends and the department of music
Goll was presented with the awards at the annual Honors and Awards ceremony at Connecticut College on April 27.
Goll, a resident of Lac du Flambeau and a 2007 graduate of Lakeland Union High School, is the daughter of Mary and Ricky Goll of Lac du Flambeau.
At the ceremony, Timo V. Ovaska, Hans and Ella McCollum '21 Vahlteich Professor of Chemistry, gave the keynote address. Dean of the College Community Armando Bengochea and Dean of the Faculty Roger Brooks also congratulated the students.
