Ladies Yell Over the Crowd for Ribbons at Iowa State Fair Contest

DES MOINES, IA (08/21/2017) (readMedia)-- Bonnie Swalwell Eilert of Newton won top honors in the Ladies' Husband Calling contest judged Friday at the 2017 Iowa State Fair.

Leshe Eichelberger of Muscatine claimed second place and third place went to Virginia Stone of Waukee. Pamela Gladfelder of Albia claimed fourth place in the contest.

The contest was part of "Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions" in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. A first prize of $5 and ribbons were awarded to each class.
