Laine Doggett of Rutherfordton, NC Awarded Prestigious Book Prize

MARY'S CITY, MD (11/02/2012)(readMedia)-- Rutherfordton native and St. Mary's College of Maryland associate professor of French, Laine Doggett, has been awarded the Southeastern Medieval Association's Best First Book Prize for her book, "Love Cures: Healing and Love Magic in Old French Romance." The award is granted annually for the best first book in a field of medieval scholarship.
